Sellers have a new way to liquidate their domains.
Domain Name Wholesale Exchange added Dutch auctions last month and recently tweaked the bidder UI to improve the service.
Sellers can list domain names with any starting price between $250 and $2,500. The price decreases every day for 10 days, at which point the price is $99.
Because all domains can sell for as little as $99, sellers need to be willing to sell for that price even if they set a starting price over the baseline of $250.
Based on feedback, the service updated the Dutch auction UI to show when the next price drop will occur and what the new price will be.
Domain name registrar Epik also offers a Dutch auction domain liquidation service. Prices drop to $9 on its service, although sellers can set a higher minimum/final price.
