Albert Schimmel, Owner and Founder of BuyMyName.com (and formerly of Sedo), shared a comic on LinkedIn that resonated with me. “A domain name is like a joke… if you have to explain it, it’s not that good

I think it’s very true with limited exceptions. If you are pitching a domain name to a prospective buyer and need to explain what it means, it’s probably not very good. Of course, there’s a difference between explaining what a domain name means and explaining why a domain name can provide value to a business, with the latter making much more sense.
