An Indian entrepreneur has purchased some expensive advertising space to promote his names for sale at namers.com.

Sandeep Maheshwari, a motivational speaker who also owns stock image site ImagesBazaar.com, is behind the marketplace and ads.

The ad (pictured to the right) was the front page of the Times of India (TOI) Mumbai Edition last week. The same ad later appeared in the New Delhi edition.

I’m told that this is expensive ad space, typically booked by companies like Amazon and Flipkart before major sales.

Namers lists domains priced from $1,900 to $40 million, with most priced below $10,000.

Interestingly, all purchases go through GoDaddy. Clicking a link to buy a domain priced below $100,000 sends the buyer to a buy now lander, and those over $100,000 go to an Afternic lead form.

Maheshwari appears to be a big personality in India, and his personal website suggests he’s not open to communication. I tried contacting him through ImagesBazaar and will update this story if I hear from him.
