Healthcare company Abbott (NYSE: ABT) registered hundreds of domain names this week in the wake of announcing a recent recall and facing class action lawsuits.

Last week, Abbott announced a voluntary recall of several baby formulas after reports of bacteria infections. But most of the 200+ registrations relate to class action lawsuits alleging that cows-milk based infant formulas can cause a gastrointestinal infection called necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).

If you search Google for “baby formula lawsuit“, many law firms are advertising for claims.

The domain names Abbott registered use a Whois privacy service but use the same corporate registrar, MarkMonitor, that Abbott uses for its domain name management.

Some of the domains are,,, and (Similac is one of its baby formula brands.)
