Responding to a tweet about how owners of .XYZ domains will never sell them for six figures, Drew Rosener noted:

“To be fair, that’s not true. I have sold 2 of our .XYZ domains for 6 figures: Magic.XYZ and Atlas.XYZ. Not defending or suggesting anything or anyone else, just saying that there is a tubal demand for the best of breed.”

So there you have it.

It’s not about the domain, it’s all about the person with the ability to sell, seeking a high price in exchange for their domain asset.
