Looking back at July 2020 Domain Name Sales. Here we will examine domain name sales and data trends for certain naming categories.

July saw Namebio reporting 10,921 vs 10,171 sales in June. Dollar value in July was $9.4 million vs $8.9 million June.

The average domain name sales price was $858 down from $873 in June.

July saw just three 6 figure sales vs four 6 figure or greater sales in June.

.Com registered 9,172 of the 10,921 reported July sales.

.Org beat .Net 497 to 269 in reported sales.

Across all extensions there were 176 numeric sales down from 201 in June. The high sale was 3723.com at $24,210.

Summary: 4L.com number bounced back up, numerics continued to slide. Smart,Media and Tech were keywords that had strong months. New gtlds saw their average price up a bit while total sales were off by 22.

Only one 3L.com sale reported on Namebio in July. That was the brokered sale of UKG.com for $90,000 by Morgan Linton.

There are certain keywords that are the most sought after in domain wanted threads, certain keywords that are the strongest when it comes to overall registration numbers.

Media recorded 24 sales ending in media, ConsumerMedia.com was the high sale at $2,105. The average sale was $585 down from $831.

Labs recorded 12 sales ending in labs with Tronlabs.com being the high sale at $970. The average sales price was $345 down from $529.

Online recorded 26 sales ending in online with MinOnline.com being the high sale at $3,500. The average sales price was $577 up from $518.

Coin recorded 18 sales ending in coin with LifeCoin.com being the high sale at $6,000. The average sales price was $610 up from $546.

Coin also recorded 9 sales as the first keyword in a two word combo. CoinDoctor.com was the high sale at $713. The average sales price was $350 up from $286.

Crypto recorded 20 sales starting with Crypto with CryptoBuyers.com being the high sale at $1,334. The average sales price was $491 up from $375.

Crypto recorded 4 sales ending with Crypto, NewCrypto.com was the high sale at $2,610 the average sales price was $793 up from $376.

Capital recorded 16 sales ending in Capital with LightningCapital.com being the high sale at $3,500. Average sales price was $664 down from $1,245.

Smart recorded 20 sales starting with Smart with SmartFlex.com being the high sale at $8,888. Average sales price $1,237 down from $1,354.

Tech recorded 15 sales starting with Tech. The top sale was TechWeave.com at $2,588. Average sales price $638 up from $351.

Tech recorded 31 sales ending in Tech. CirTech.com was the high sale at $2,138. Average sales price $427 down from $684.

Data recorded 4 sales starting with Data. DataLeak.com was the high sale at $3,051. Average sales price $1,097 up from $1,051.

Data recorded 10 sales ending in Data. ScaleData.com was the top sale at $755. Average sales price $405 up from $286.

Shop recorded 27 sales ending in Shop. DiscounterShop.com was the top sale at $2,788. Average sales price was $679 up from $659.

Shop recorded 12 sales starting with Shop. ShopClean.com was the high sale at $6,100. Average sales price was $910 up from $766.

Pay recorded 10 sales starting with Pay. PayMobility.com was the high sale at $5,900. Average sales price was $1,434 up from $441.

Pay recorded 7 sales ending with Pay. ZapPay.com was the high sale at $3,001. Average sales price was $665 down from $990.

New GTLD’s

The new gtld’s generated 86 sales down from 108 sales in June 2020. Total sales were down in July at $138,300 vs  $168,800 in June. Reality.App was the high sale at $24,000. Average sales price $1,607 up from $1,563.
