Looking back at July 2020 Domain Name Sales. Here we will examine domain name sales and data trends for certain naming categories.
July saw Namebio reporting 10,921 vs 10,171 sales in June. Dollar value in July was $9.4 million vs $8.9 million June.
The average domain name sales price was $858 down from $873 in June.
July saw just three 6 figure sales vs four 6 figure or greater sales in June.
.Com registered 9,172 of the 10,921 reported July sales.
.Org beat .Net 497 to 269 in reported sales.
Across all extensions there were 176 numeric sales down from 201 in June. The high sale was 3723.com at $24,210.
Summary: 4L.com number bounced back up, numerics continued to slide. Smart,Media and Tech were keywords that had strong months. New gtlds saw their average price up a bit while total sales were off by 22.
Only one 3L.com sale reported on Namebio in July. That was the brokered sale of UKG.com for $90,000 by Morgan Linton.

Shop recorded 27 sales ending in Shop. DiscounterShop.com was the top sale at $2,788. Average sales price was $679 up from $659.
Shop recorded 12 sales starting with Shop. ShopClean.com was the high sale at $6,100. Average sales price was $910 up from $766.
Pay recorded 10 sales starting with Pay. PayMobility.com was the high sale at $5,900. Average sales price was $1,434 up from $441.
Pay recorded 7 sales ending with Pay. ZapPay.com was the high sale at $3,001. Average sales price was $665 down from $990.
The new gtld’s generated 86 sales down from 108 sales in June 2020. Total sales were down in July at $138,300 vs $168,800 in June. Reality.App was the high sale at $24,000. Average sales price $1,607 up from $1,563.
